Poppi’s Story (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a small sticker and stationery shop based in Mobile, Alabama. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit poppisstory.com, create an account, or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: we collect what we need to run the shop, and we never sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

Orders: your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number (if you provide one), the items you buy, and any notes you add at checkout.
Your account: if you create an account, your name, email address, password, saved addresses, and order history.
Poppi Perks: if you have an account, we keep a record of the stamps you earn and the perks you receive. If you choose to add your birthday (month and day only, no year), we use it to send a birthday stamp.
Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
Reviews: if you leave a product review, your name and review are shown publicly on the product page.

Payment information

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, WooPayments (powered by Stripe). Your full card number is entered directly into their secure payment form. We never see or store your full card details. We only receive basic information such as the card type, the last four digits, and whether the payment went through.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect some technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site (for example, from Instagram, Etsy, or a search engine). This helps us keep the site working, prevent fraud, and understand which links bring people to the shop.

How We Use Your Information

To process, ship, and support your orders, including sending order confirmations and shipping updates.
To create and manage your account and your Poppi Perks stamp card.
To answer your questions and messages.
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
To understand what is working in the shop so we can improve it.
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
To send marketing emails only if you choose to sign up for them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them to:

Keep items in your cart and remember that you are signed in.
Process payments safely and detect fraud (set by our payment provider).
Remember how you found our site, such as a link from social media (WooCommerce order attribution).
Help pages load quickly.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart, checkout, and account features need them to work.

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the shop, and only what they need to do their job:

Payment processing: WooPayments and Stripe, to process payments and prevent fraud.
Website hosting and email: Hostinger, which hosts our website and helps deliver emails such as order confirmations.
Shipping: the U.S. Postal Service, which receives your name and mailing address on your package, and LetterTrack, which we use to print USPS tracking barcodes on envelopes. LetterTrack receives your name, mailing address, and email address so it can send you tracking updates.
Site features: Google Fonts (to display our fonts), Gravatar (profile images on reviews), and spam protection on our contact form. These services may receive your IP address when they load.
Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the safety of others.

Our site links to our Etsy shop and our Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Orders placed on Etsy are handled under Etsy’s privacy policy.

Poppi Perks

Poppi Perks is our loyalty program for customers with an account. To run it, we keep a record of the stamps you earn, the perk coupons you receive, and, if you add it, your birthday month and day. We use this information only for the program. You can see your stamp card anytime under My Account → Poppi Perks. If you delete your account, your Poppi Perks history is deleted too.

How Long We Keep Information

Order records: as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
Accounts and Poppi Perks: until you ask us to delete your account.
Contact form messages and emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted when no longer needed.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

View and update your account details at any time under My Account.
Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct or delete your personal information. We may need to keep some order records for tax and legal reasons.
Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under your state’s law. To make any request, email us at hello@poppisstory.com. We will verify your request and respond as quickly as we can. We will never treat you differently for using your privacy rights.

Children’s Privacy

Our shop is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping Your Information Safe

Our site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and payments are handled by a PCI-compliant payment provider. We limit access to customer information to what is needed to run the shop. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
